Types
Self-sealing bags are packaging bags that can be sealed automatically by pressing the opening shut; common varieties include zipper-lock bags and interlocking-track (male-female profile) bags.
These bags (also known as resealable bags, zip-lock bags, or zipper-closure bags) are manufactured using materials such as low-density polyethylene (LDPE), linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), EVA, PO, and multi-layer composite films.
Uses
Self-sealing bags are suitable for the inner and outer packaging of various small items, such as jewelry, small hardware, and toys. Bags made from food-grade materials can be used to store snacks, tea, and seafood; they offer protection against moisture, odor transfer, water, and insects, while also preventing contents from spilling. They are also widely used for packaging clothing and other daily necessities. By incorporating antistatic masterbatch during the film-blowing process, antistatic self-sealing bags can be produced for use in the electronics industry.
